About the Workshop:
In this basket-making workshop, you will weave a market basket. It is named so because it has a handle, open top, and large size, this basket would. be appropriate to take to market to buy fruits and vegetables. It could be used for collecting flowers or herbs from your garden, or for a special spot on your table.
Making this basket will teach you basic construction methods, such as managing rattan by soaking in water, bending and folding, handle decoration, plain weave, overlays, shaping, and finishing the rim.
Great as a special gift or for yourself and home.
Required Materials:
Spray bottle for water
Pencil
Yardstick or tape measure
Clothes pins or small clamps
Towel
Apron if desired
Garden scissors or pruning shears. SCISSORS WILL NOT CUT RATTAN
